SHERIDAN- Highlighting a commitment to fiscally responsible and fair spending of our tax dollars, Sydnee D. Alyster has declared her candidacy for the Sheridan County Commission. Ms. Alyster brings to this position a wealth of experience, knowledge, and commitment in government. “I have nearly 20 years of experience in government,” Sydnee stated, “Including local and federal roles in city planning, strategic planning, and economic and community development. More specifically, Sydnee Alyster’s experience includes work with the U.S. State Department, Senior Governance Advisor in Iraq to reconstruct infrastructure and provide guidance to establish provincial governance. In 2017, She was nominated and graduated from the year-long Ford Family Leadership Program.
 
 Since moving to Sheridan several years ago, to be closer to family, Sydnee has put down roots in the community and worked with special needs adults and children and victims of domestic violence.

“I don’t view the position as political, Ms. Alyster stated, “Instead, I want to focus on the process and good stewardship. it as an opportunity to ensure that our tax dollars benefit all members of our community.” While Sydnee Alyster may not have grown up in Wyoming, she stated “I am the daughter of ranchers, living 20 miles from a small town much like Sheridan, but not quite as picturesque.”

Ms. Alyster is running for County Commissioner because of Sheridan’s growing needs. “We see evidence everywhere that Sheridan County is growing,” Sydnee stated. “New people, business impacts of a growing population, and much-needed stable and sufficient housing are some of the reasons that I want to add my guidance to this growth so residents can be confident that our county will retain its unique charm with fiscally responsible, measured growth and adequate services for our future.”

“During my campaign, Sydnee added, “there will be fundraising events, door-to-door canvassing, coffee with the candidate, and many opportunities to hear your concerns,”
